About The Club
The Legends West Golf Club is a member of The Northern California Golf Association (NCGA). Membership is open to all golfers. We offer tournaments and other golf activities for men and women of all skill levels. Membership in the Legends West Club includes membership in the NCGA and all associated privileges including a GHIN number and maintenance of a USGA handicap. The annual membership charge is $85.00 for NCGA members, $95.00 for new NCGA members with no current GHIN #, and $30.00 for juniors.

About Diablo Grande
We have two of the finest courses in Northern California. The Legends Course is unique as the only course designed by The Golden Bear, Jack Nicklaus, and The Squire, Gene Sarazen. The Ranch Course designed by Dennis Griffiths, may have the most challenging back nine holes in California. The golf courses are managed by Troon Golf, the top golf management company in the world. Together these two courses offer members unequaled golfing opportunities.
About Our Tournaments
Our season starts with the opening of the PGA season in early January and runs through October/November. Some events are geared towards fun and some are more competitive. Tournaments are generally played from the men’s blue and white tees and ladies red tees. We think we have enough variety that there are tournaments for every skill level. The Legends West major events are The NCGA qualifiers, The Men’s Invitational, Club Championship (Men’s, Senior Men’s and Women’s), and the season ending Bear and Squire Cup Matches.
The Bear and Squire Cup Matches
This is our season ending Ryder Cup style team match play event. Throughout the season members earn Bear and Squire points with tournament participation and/or quality tournament play. Basing the points on quality and quantity of play allows members to earn points and qualify for the matches in different ways. The Captain of the Bears and Captain of the Squires choose their teams from the members that qualify via points earned.
Scores and Posting of Scores
Golf is a game of honor where players are expected to apply the rules to themselves and their fellow players. The spirit of fair and equitable golf lies in proper handicapping. All Legends West Members are required to post all scores, for nine hole and eighteen hole rounds. As per USGA guidelines Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) should be used as per USGA guidelines.
